Camera fans (us included) adore Leica’s digital rangefinder M8, its stylish retro stylings masking a top notch digicam. But many don’t realize that it was Epson’s original R-D1 that inspired Leica to make the M8 back in 2004. Five years on, and the company’s updated its style savvy snapper to include a new 2.5in LCD screen and SDHC card support. And it still packs the much loved features of old, 6MP sensor, RAW photos and flip-out LCD. Out later this year, it’s estimated at US$2,000.
